Biography

Ms. Hernandez is an associate at the Los Angeles office of La Follette Johnson, where her practice focuses on representing hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in professional liability lawsuits.

Ms. Hernandez was born and raised in the small town of Sylmar, California in the San Fernando Valley. She graduated from Sylmar High School and obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Feminist Studies and Chicana/o Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 2022 while simultaneously working various part-time jobs as a Law Clerk for legal firms and as a Teaching-Assistant and Research Assistant for various law school professors. Ms. Hernandez gained exclusive legal experience while externing under the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit during the Covid-pandemic. She brings her extensive experience in various areas of law including civil litigation, trust and estate litigation, family law, and real estate litigation.

While in Law School, Ms. Hernandez was an active member of the community, serving as the Co-President for the Women’s Law Society and Tax Law Society, in addition to being a member of the Journal of International Law. Ms. Hernandez was also awarded the Mexican American Bar Foundation Scholarship and participated in the National Moot Court Competition in 2021.

During her free time, Ms. Hernandez enjoys Dodger games, cooking and baking, hosting get-togethers with friends, and spending time with her family.
