Janize A. Sarmiento is an associate attorney in the Northern California office, where her practice focuses on representing health care professionals and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits. 

Ms. Sarmiento received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Long Beach. She worked as a legal and compliance analyst in a Fortune 500 health care organization. Soon after, she decided to pursue a career as an attorney. 

Ms. Sarmiento received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, she was a Kennedy Scholar for the American Inn of Court. Additionally, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Dennis M. Cota for the Eastern District of California. 

When not in the office, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts and Pilates classes, along with spending time with family and friends.
