Janee M. Tomlinson is a Partner/Principal in the Los Angeles office of La Follette Johnson where her practice focuses on Medical Malpractice defense. In addition to defending physicians, chiropractors, dentists, nurses, medical groups, and hospitals in malpractice actions, Ms. Tomlinson also manages cases in the areas of Elder Abuse, Medical Board and Nursing Board investigations, Premises Liability and General Personal Injury.  Ms. Tomlinson has extensive experience in litigating binding arbitration matters and she has litigated cases in the counties of Los Angeles and Orange.

Ms. Tomlinson is a member of the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court, Central District.

Ms. Tomlinson received her B.A. with Honors in English from California State University, Northridge. She received her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. While in law school, she was honored for her participation in Moot Court Competitions and Mock Trials.

Ms. Tomlinson is a member of The Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM) and Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC.) She is a frequent speaker on medical legal matters for healthcare professionals.

Ms. Tomlinson is a Southern California native. She is happily married to her husband, Rodney who is also an attorney and a successful litigator in the defense of Medical Malpractice cases. They have four children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and ten grandchildren, who they enjoy very much.

Ms. Tomlinson loves spending time with her family and friends, entertaining, throwing parties, decorating, traveling, teaching and volunteering her time to church service and community charity work.
