Marissa Warren is a litigation attorney with over 14 years of experience defending cases before the state and federal courts in California at both the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Warren actively manages and participates in all aspects of her litigation practice. She has significant experience defending a wide range of healthcare related companies and individuals, including hospitals, acute care and rehabilitation facilities, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals. She is frequently called upon to defend cases involving high-exposure damages, catastrophic injuries and punitive damages. Ms. Warren’s defense practice includes medical and pharmacy malpractice, elder and dependent adult abuse, general liability, and negligent security. Ms. Warren also defends medical institutions, healthcare corporations and individuals in employment actions involving alleged wrongful termination, workplace and sexual harassment, retaliation, FEHA and DFEH claims.

In addition to her courtroom success, she is a skilled legal writer. Ms. Warren has secured dismissals on behalf of her clients pursuant to California’s anti-SLAPP statute, motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss in cases involving elder and dependent adult abuse, professional negligence, interference with contractual relations, products liability, and defamation.

Ms. Warren earned her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine in 2002 and her J.D., from the Whittier College School of Law in 2006, graduating cum laude in the top 10% of her class.
