Mr. Vogel is Of Counsel to La Follette Johnson and remains active in taking cases to trial on behalf of the firm. Mr. Vogel was the Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Northern California office from its start in 2000, and through 2025.

Mr. Vogel has attained the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), reflecting his experience in more than 50 civil jury trials. He has been awarded the highest rating, “AV Preeminent,” based on reviews by his peers, by the lawyer rating agency, Martindale-Hubbell. He has been rated a “Super Lawyer” by that lawyer rating service. He is also rated as a Sacramento “Top Lawyer” by Sacramento Magazine. He is certified as a medical malpractice attorney by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA).

He has extensive experience in defense of all types of medical malpractice cases, with special emphasis on defense of birth injury cases, on behalf of physicians and hospitals Mr. Vogel received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and his Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
