Mr. Dickson joined La Follette Johnson in 2000 and is an associate in the Orange County office where his litigation practice focuses on products liability, hospital and medical liability, Elder Abuse, public entity defense, professional liability and general liability.
Mr. Dickson is admitted before the State Bar of California, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court (Central and Southern Districts of California). Mr. Dickson is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Dickson is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation, and the Orange County and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He is a member of the Orange County Medical Association – Bar Association Liaison Committee, the Continuing Medical Education Committee of the Regents of the University of California/Applied Risk Management, Southern California, the Irvine Medical Center Bioethics Committee, the St Joseph Hospital of Orange Foundation, Benefit Steering Committee, and the Coastal Communities Hospital, Hearing Officer – Medical Staff Judiciary Committee.
Mr. Dickson is a frequent lecturer to hospital and healthcare staffs on a variety of cutting-edge medical/legal concerns.
Mr. Dickson received his B.A. in Communications Management/Japanese from Brigham Young University in 1977. He attended the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France and received his Certificate in 1979. He received his J.D. from Western State University, College of Law in 1981. While in law school he was on the editorial board of Law Review and Executive Editor of the International Law Journal. He was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award.
Mr. Dickson is married and in his spare time enjoys golf, skiing, bicycling, fishing, and history – specifically 19th Century reenactments. He is also a songwriter and musician and is semi-fluent in conversational Japanese.
